It dissolves easily in water, no need for a "proper" shaker, I've been putting a spoon into my tea and it dissolves perfectly leaving no grittiness.
At around 20p a portion it's slightly more expensive than others I've tried. Does come with a tiny little spoon. Mine had just under 2 year shelf life.
